Medical cannabis tinctures are one of the oldest methods of concentrating plant compounds in medicine. They have historically been used to extract the benefits of a wide variety of plants, including cannabis. 

 

Tinctures offer a great way to learn your minimum effective dose (MED), or the smallest amount of cannabis that is effective for managing your condition. Learning your MED saves money, lowers your cannabis tolerance, helps you select products with the correct potency, and can result in more effective treatment. By allowing you to dispense a single drop or two, tinctures allow you to get precisely the right dose. 

 

Sublingual (under the tongue) is the preferred method of administration for tinctures because the product is rapidly absorbed through the capillaries. We recommend taking tinctures by placing the dosed drop directly under the tongue and holding for 15 seconds. 

 

At Etain we’ve reformulated our tinctures for a more standardized dosage, 10mg total active cannabinoids per 7 drops. Our tinctures come in multiple sizes; 5mL  (250mg), 10mL (500mg), 15mL (1500mg) and are available in all Etain strains. This will allow for more dosing options and make it easier to navigate the menu. We don’t believe in giving our customers unnecessary fillers and additives so our tinctures will continue to have the same simple ingredients, MCT Oil and Cannabis.
